You can start working, but without a BSN number we are not allowed to pay your salary. Once you receive your BSN, we can process your hours and pay you. That’s why it’s important to apply for your BSN at the municipality as soon as possible. If needed, we can also help arrange this for you.
Yes, part-time work is possible! In most cases, this means mornings or a few days per week, rather than only evenings or weekends. Together with you and the employer, we’ll find the schedule that suits you best.
Your salary depends on your age, experience, and the number of hours you work per week—but it will always be at least according to the CAO (collective labor agreement). When you register, you can receive a personalized wage calculation if you’d like.
our salary is always paid safely and on time by bank transfer. We can transfer your wages weekly to either a Dutch or an international bank account. Every Wednesday, you’ll receive payment for the hours worked in the previous week—fast, reliable, and secure.
Yes, VZM does provide housing. The houses usually have 2 to 3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. Rooms are shared by two people. Central heating is standard, and all houses are furnished and include amenities such as a television and a washing machine.
If you are sick, you must send a text message (SMS or WhatsApp) to your Job Coach at least one hour before your shift starts, and also inform the client where you are working before the start of the workday.
To officially report your sickness, you are required to call our office between 09:00 and 10:00.
As soon as you start working, VZM will report this to the UWV. You must also inform your benefits agency yourself that you have found work and wish to stop your benefits. In consultation with the agency, flexible arrangements may be possible—for example, partially keeping your benefits if you don’t have full-time work. If you need help filling out the forms for the benefits agency, we will gladly assist you.
You will receive your contract as soon as you start working with us. In the beginning, this will be a Phase 1–2 contract, which lasts for 52 weeks. After this period, you move on to a Phase 3 contract, which is a fixed-term employment agreement. This step-by-step system gives you more security the longer you work with us.
Your annual statement for the previous year will always be available at the beginning of February. This document is important for filing your tax return or requesting a tax refund. We make sure it is ready for you on time every year, so you can handle your taxes without any worries.
The payroll tax credit is a discount on the amount of tax you pay. You can only apply it with one employer—usually the one where you earn the most. On our registration form, you can indicate if you want VZM to apply this discount for you.
